Dubai Notes

Post by Krishnan

When in Rome, be a Roman.

When In Dubai, be a camel. Imbibe liquids as much as a camel would do.

Vels (Velayuthan) picked me up at the airport and coordinated with the du_boys.... The calm before the storm.

Venkat drove his car on the straight roads of Sheik Zayed road, only that the car was changing lanes too often that I felt that I was in Vin Dielsel's car in Fast & Furious_ n+1.

Listening to old tamizh songs and hearing Venkat's chatter in Madras Tamil, we went to watch the movie "I". It was a great experience to watch the movie with the Du_boys.

The heroine Amy Jackson's flawless Chennai rickshaw language was due to Venkat's coaching. See the credits at the end of the movie!

Ore Mercel aayitten.

Kumaramangalam had come with his family and he had organized a Yatch ride from Dubai Marina to the Burj al Arab. Sitting on the front of the yatch and posing a 'la tinanic' pose at the bow of the Yatch, we had great fun and were 'floating' on the water.

Thankfully, Venkat was not the captain of the Yatch then.

The 2 days at Dubai with camels Vels, Venkat, Sriram, Madhu, and Kumaramangalam was a great experience. It was like reliving college days with more gusto.

If you want to know more about Dubai, you need to visit this place with the du_boys.
